We can all feel a little cold and blue in the Winter months, we don't get enough sunlight and sometimes just want to hibernate until Springtime.
For Christmas I got a book called "Hygge" which in Danish loosely translated it means cosy and happy. It gets much colder than the UK in Denmark and they are one of the happiest nations in the World, so they must be doing something right.
There are lots of things we can do to improve our mood in these chilly months, and here are a few of my favourites from the book.
Get out and about, go for a walk, there is nothing better on a cold sunny day than getting outdoors and blowing the cobwebs off, it also gets the blood pumping too.
Have a cosy night in, light the fire and some candles, and get under a warm blanket, you can watch a film, read a book or listen to some music.
Spend time with friends, we all tend to stay in more in the winter months, but its important to get out, connect and stay in touch with the people who make you happy.
