Hay Fever Help
With Hay Fever season in full flow, I thought I would share some helpful natural remedies to have at hand in the sneeze season.
One of the things that can help is eating local honey. It tastes great and is very good for many ailments. It gets the local pollen into your system, so your body has a defense to fight it before the flowers come out.
Vitamin C is a known anti-histamine, that is full of bioflavanoids, which have powerful anti-allergy effects. Working together the vitamin C and bioflavanoids provide a natural decongestant. Try and get lots of citrus fruits, kale, and spinach into your diet.
Garlic can help boost your immune system and act as a decongestant. It's also a good source of quercetin, which is a natural anti-histamine.
Chamomile tea is a great antioxidant and an anti-histamine, as it contains flavanoids. It can also be used as an eye compress to soothe swollen eyes, which will cool them down and stop swelling.
